Founder & CEO
Diego was only 14 when he decided he would never become an astronaut. Let alone play professional sports. That’s why he turned to languages, his real passion, and today he feels lucky to have been able to make a profession out of them.
With a degree in Interpreting from the University of Genoa, he started out as a translator, before quickly advancing to project management and, ultimately, becoming Chief Operations Officer for an Italian LSP. At the end of 2016, he decided it was time to switch things up and create his own translation company.
Diego is fascinated by the possibilities of applying technology to languages and translation and has a passion for training. In particular, he’s a machine translation enthusiast and loves talking about it whenever he has the chance. (And, yes, he knows he talks about it too much!).
He strongly believes in networking and meeting others in the field as a means to improve himself and Creative Words every day, which is why he’s now often abroad attending industry events. It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it…
What he likes the most, though, is hanging out in the office with his great team, where he’s been dubbed for all the world to know with the title of court jester.
